Greetings SYP members and friends:
Thank you to all that attended our recent events! In November, we enjoyed networking at the Lazy Dog Coffeehouse and painting bowls at the Mad Potter with our families. Just this week, we had our networking event at the Schuylkill Country Club, where we learned about a great opportunity for SYP members…
The Schuylkill Country Club has extended its trial memberships with the SYP members from today through April 30th 2010. Any member of SYP can enroll at no cost and become a trial member with full privileges through April 30th including golf. Prevailing daily golf rates do apply.
As of December 15th the club will be reinstating initiation fees, however any trial memberships that are in place before December 15th will be grandfathered in. By allowing the trial membership to run through April 30th this will give the SYP members the opportunity to take advantage of some golfing weather while avoiding the initiation fees.

SYP is currently at 33 members and we hope many more of you will consider joining for the 2010 membership year.
Wednesday, December 9 – Bonus Event at the Top Shoppe in Schuylkill Haven from 5:30-7:00. $5 for non-members. The Top Shoppe will be open exclusively for SYP members and friends for a private sale! Refreshments will be provided. Please park and enter through the rear door. The Top Shoppe is CASH ONLY. RSVP to sypnews@gmail.com by 12/7/09.
Thursday, January 7 – Networking Event at Greystone Restaurant in Pottsville from 5:30-7:30. $5 for non-members.
Meet the Members: At each month’s networking event, we will select two members to participate in the following month’s meet the members segment. They will be given the opportunity to give a brief introduction of themselves to the networking group (about 2 minutes). Gaylene Ebling and Amy Humenansky will be featured for January’s ”meet the members”.
Committees:
The Networking Events Committee will be meeting on Thursday, December 10th.
